Shebeshxt to spend December behind bars
Limpopo-based Lekompo star Shebeshxt has suffered a major legal setback after the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court denied his bail application, meaning he will remain in custody throughout the festive season.
The controversial hitmaker, born Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, appeared in court on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, to hear the outcome of his bail bid following his November arrest over a road rage incident linked to attempted murder charges.
After several days of submissions from both the defence and the state, the magistrate ruled against granting bail.
As a result, the Ambulance hitmaker will stay behind bars until his next court appearance, scheduled for February 2026.
Footage of Shebeshxt in court quickly circulated on social media, capturing the moment the ruling was delivered.
The clip sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans expressing shock and sympathy that the musician will spend Christmas and New Year’s in custody, while others supported the court’s decision due to the seriousness of the charges.
